I've had this for months, but just hadn't made the time to scan it. I thought of you all immediately when I saw this, and am happy to finally post it.

It is a page from an Iraqi military textbook called "Tanks and Armored Vehicles." It is sort of a primer on the subject that new infantry recruits study as part of their "basic training". According to the text, this is another type of engine one might find in a tank. Wow, would love to own a RET (Rotary Engine Tank)! :p

Edit: Diagram almost looks like it is peripheral ported. Sweet!

Probably for some of the Russian-built equipment... Lada built (and still builds, supposedly) rotary engines for cars and military equipment.
