i've never done a poll thingy before so if i mess up then yeah no excuses haha.

i've always thought that titanium grey would be the most common color in rx8 land but now i'm seeing that the majority of the colors i've seen so far is definitely winning blue. so that made me think, what colors are actually out there?

so if you've gotten your car, choose what color you got. ONLY if you've gotten your car already. if you're "ehh i really like this color" then no...i wanna know what's out there on the road as of right now.

So far no surprises for me:

Red most popular (flagship color, on the website etc)

Titanium Grey (the new black, the color of the decade, very popular, goes with the red/black interior nicely)

Yellow (hello!!!!!!!!! Do you see me in the new RX8!!!!!!!!!!)

Blue (xmen, flashy)

Silver and Black (classic but less popular as they are very common on any car -- 8 owners like to stand out)

Green (you hate it or love it . . . most prefer another color on THEIR car).

So my guess is going to be:
Red 33%
Tit Grey 20%
Yellow 14%
Blue 13%
Silver 10%
Black 7%
Green 3%

BTW: Yellow and Blue would be the overwhelming favorites if they offered matching two-tone interiors like red/black!

I would DEFINATELY go for Winning Blue with a Blue/Black leather interior... but unfortunately that won't be a possibility, at least not on this years model. Maybe the 2005's will have more interior options.

The grey/black interiour would look really nice with many of the colors I believe as well. The grey/black interiour can be seen in the X-men car.

I picked the yellow. I don't think any picture does that color justice. I saw it in person. I usually hate yellow, but I was in awe when i saw it. I also saw the blue in person.

Both amazing colors for the car. I decided on the Yellow.

Fort Myers just recently received more RX-8's. I drove by the dealership tonight and saw a Titanium and Red one.

Hopefully when more are surveyed, you see a more accurate representation.

Got a chance to see the green up close and in good sunlight yesterday. Man I have to say, that it's a REALLY impressive color. If I had known how good it looked I would have been fine with it. It's a nice deep rich dark green and the metal flake in the paint really stands out in it. I think those who get it should be pretty satisfied.

There is a though that the silvers are not owning up to it. So please, if you chose the "new black", the color of the Millenium, please vote . . . don't be scared :D

Remember that a fair percentage of the cars on the road are alocated units. I agree that during our early polls, both Gray and Silver will well in the lead. I think people are buying what they have at the dealers. Just a thoery...

Australia is starting to come on line. I picked my Winning Blue up on Wednesday (could have had it last week except for company paperwork).

I hope everybody is as happy as I am. I bet the Cops are grinning with pleasure every time I go past. Its so hard to want to drive this car slowly.

yep titanium one I mentioend at the dealer is gone now and received a reply from someone on this site that went and got it when they heard it was there! I have to admit, after seeing it - wow, what a color. Yet to see silver, black, and green.

I thought about white (reply to would you get white if avail) and thought I would like it but I now realize that the darker or metallic colors show off the contour of the car better and not sure that white could pull it off. You would get a sillouette only.

Funny you guys mentioned the 3000GT . . . that is exactly why I brought up the color white.

I owned two 3000GT's (black and white). The black one showed sun damage, sap damage, fading, swirls, chips, and looked dark blue in the nightlite. But the pearl white looked grey, purple under the moonlight . . . .awesome. Always looked clean and new, chips(it had a white undercoat paint !). I loved this color!!!!!!!!!!


BTW: Are we surprised that Blue is almost taking over Titanium for 2nd place? I like blue, but I am a bit impressed it is almost 2nd.

Let's use this poll for people who bought their cars. Sure enough I followed up on the Blue issue this weekend, and many local dealers say it is indeed a top order. (Red, Grey, Blue)

I actually think the lighter cars like the Silver and Yellow tend to show more controur then the black or darker colours. Thats why i chose the yellow when I purchased my RX8, but thats just me. I had blacks cars before. I think I needed a change. One thing I will give to the darker colour cars...... They look increadible at night when clean!!!

I need to change my vote! I had sunlight silver, but due to the dealership being unable to provide the appearance parts that I paid for, I was allowed to swap it for a brilliant black with the appearance package already installed. I liked the silver a lot, but I loooove the black!:D
