Tein Basics + RB Sway Set

Thanks to the help of Randy (TheDosDog), and Fred (BrotherVoodoo), we installed the tein basics and racing beat sway bars with end links. The install went pretty well except for the the rear right coilover, but that was due to the previous install going wrong. Initial impressions of the difference....hot dayum!!!! The body roll is gone. I was taking some recockulous turns, and barely broke the tires loose. I honestly couldn't believe how great it was. I was thinking the combination was going to be stiff, but it is actually pretty smooth, and composed. I'm not sure what some were talking about when they said it was a harsh ride, but we all have different asses...preferences :p . I highly recommend the combination, and thanks again Randy and Fred.

Nice stuff man. Did you go any lower or kept your height similar to your tein s-tech springs?

The rear is about the same, but the front is actually a little higher.

on the pic posted (stock sway vs. rb sway) they seemed to be the same; or the rb is made of stiffer steel/bar?

Maybe its the angle, but the rb is thicker, and heavier.

Not too much, just gotta drill the swaybars, and the connecting hole on the suspension. We did have 3 guys though, so nothing took too long.

We played around with it a bit. Got is set up so the heigh is perfect on all sides with the extra weight of the sub on the rear left. It is higher than the s techs that I had, but thats how I wanted it.

It was in Benecia. It took about 5 hours. Thats mainly because when I put on the s techs with izoomzoomi and another friend, we did a bad job. So we (mostly Randy) had to correct those mistakes on the way. It probably would have been a lot quicker.

Yeah, thats not bad for a phone. After driving around for a few days, and letting them settle, the ride is more harsh than the stock or S Techs, but its not unbearable at all. I still love them.

Good work moostafa. I have the Tein Basics on my car as well and the ride isn't too harsh. There is such a great improvement in handling after installing them on my car. I'm glad that you like the coilovers as I did.

i personally want sway bars first. they are cheaper, easier to install and most importantly get rid of most body roll which is my biggest beef with the 8. next would be tyres(second beef with the 8) and then coilovers for me. after that its FI city (3rd biggest problem with the 8).

I don't have anything to compare it to. I can say that my car isn't rattling, and the cd isn't skipping. It would skip sometimes when I had the stechs.
