Hey folks,

I'm thinking of getting a vanity plate for my new RX-8. I have been checking http://www.mass.gov/rmv/vanity/index.htm for available plates.

I'm curious to see what you guys think.

So far, some candidates (all are available), first not rotrary-related:

IM1337 ("I am l33t", a geek culture reference, resonates w/ my friends)

Then some rotary-related:

ZOOM8
ROTOR
ROTOR8
NRGRX8
MZDRX8
MZRX8
REVVIN
BSTRX8
BLURX8 (redundant, huh?)
COOLRX (very redudant)
MZDSPD (not reallly...)
RX88 (short, but "88"... nah)

I don't think that I want anything too "fast" sounding, like "FAST8", because if I get pulled over for speeding, I don't want the plate to make TOO bad of an impression.

Ideas are welcome :)

my opinion > everyone else's :)IM1337 is very compelling, I will admit. Plus it transfers to future cars.

I personally like vanity plates that are more creative than the ones you mentioned, but I also like for MOST people to be able to understand them.
Mine for instance, is going to say "WAR PD4" Which is short for "War Paid For" since I'll be using the money I made while serving in Iraq to buy the thing.
....... I can understand that not everyone will get it, but oh well.
Other ones that I considered, which I haven't yet seen here on the forums (though I may be wrong) were "0CYLNDR" and "NOPISTN".

I like Whitey's idea. Mine say "Dazy 8" so everyone knows if it's me if they see my 8 on the road! :D

I just thought of another one: "RUSHN8" .. since I'm Russian as well, it's like a pun in a plate!

Yah, I'm retarded, too long at work today!

Pretty funny, but they wouldn't let you have that in Mass.

Heh, it says in plate criteria (http://www.mass.gov/rmv/forms/20284.pdf):

"Such combination is obscene in that it refers to a sexual body part, a term for or most closely associated with a sex act, or the availability for sex"

This means, "IMAHOE" is prohibited, as it indicates availability for sex.

lol, and to think that they pay people money to look at licence plate applications.

I actually got "NOPSTNS" last spring.

I've gotten a lot of weird looks, but those who get it, like it.
