well, they almost got the paint jobs right. 96 is missing the white dotted lines and 98 is missing the front orange part.

The car looks like it hit someting in the first photo :eek:

classic colors.

god I love those colors, the new miata also looks great with them.


I agree it looks like 96 hit something....cars look good!

how did they do. They look pretty close to stock, wheels, cage..ect....

what are the specs on them

To quote Mazda :

"Both Mazda RX-8s are standard production cars with uprated suspension to account for cornering forces, slick tyres and standard race safety equipment. The engine and gearbox are the same as the road going version and have not been modified. In this standard trim the Mazda RX-8 set 40 FIA records over a 24-hour period in Papenburg, Germany, last year at an average speed of 132 miles an hour."

As for results it's had five wins and two seconds from seven starts :)

They had fun reduing weight as they have a maximum 100lt petrol tank, so they added an extra 50ltr tank and only use 50 of the 61ltr standard one. Think its the heaviest car in its class, they are going for CF doors etc to reduce weight as the season progresses.

The rest of the weight came from stripping down things on the inside. Essentially its stock with the exceptions as above.
