Ok, I work for myself & have appointments all over the place where I live/work. Lately, every trip I take takes me past my dealer to see if my car is there...i'm sure many of you are practicing this routine lately..Anyway, I'm on one of these trips yesterday and ahhhh, I see a truckload of rx-8's with two black one's on it!!!! So I spin around, run home get my camera and spin back (round trip time=5min). To my surprise, the whole truck is gone!!! So I cruising the outer limits of the lot looking for my car or even another 8...nothing.
I go inside, camera in hand, to a "what's up man" & tell all about the truckload i just saw & the sales manager says ...oh those are for the OTHER dealer. The other dealer is Hine, where I should have bought mine...the same dealer that has gotton over 3 truckloads so far. They're right down the street about 7 miles...

That blows. Everyday at lunch time I drive by my dealer and sometimes on my way home. Have yet to see an RX-8 there.

Damn it Rats. Where did you order? El Cajon Mazda? I hope it gets here by the 27th so you can cruise along on our Julian run...

Yep, they really screwed up something...If the 7 comes out I will surely do my trade in at Hine. They are crawling with cars and owners and happy people everywhere....Salesguy Dante was trying to recruit me over there...feel somewhat obligated, cause they are trying pretty hard to get them in. Julian will be fun...even if i have to bust out the conquest and fly turbo.

I saw a whole truck dedicated to RX8s headed down the 163 south by Fashion Valley friday afternoon (around 4:30) so there are at least eight more coming into SD this weekend. Hope one is yours!

That truck went to El Cajon BUT, get this...only 1 of those was a preorder (not mine) and the others were all dealer stock and all sold! Arrrrgggh! What's the point of preordering if you get your car after everyone else?

My dealer got the call yesterday that a truck was coming in with an 8 on it. Good chance it was mine because the 2 others in front of me arrived yesterday. Waited all day, truck never showed. Now I have to wait until Monday!

AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Well, it's a new week and 5 more days of possiblities fellas. Good luck to you both. I'm really rooting for you having your cars by Sunday. It's gonna be a blast.... You should definitely cruise either way though.

Yeah. I don't want to knock on El Cajon Mazda or anything, but they're not a Presidents Guild dealership and they're not a Mazdaspeed dealership. I actually went all the way up to Cush in Escondido because of some previous bad expericences with John Hine with my old RX-7. I'd really like to hear some feedback about them if they've changed their act. My dealer is FANTASTIC, but I don't want to sit in traffic for an hour and a half everytime I need service....
