My flip phone finaly bit the dust, the top flip part was slowly coming off for about a week now. I wanted something small, but also something that wouldnt bite me in the wallet. I was also tired of a flip phone, and didnt want the same thing to happen again.

I was at the outlet mall here in orlando and walked into a electronics store. It was one of those stores that sells a little of everything. Some pricers were better...some worse....but what got my attention was the cell phones. They had all different kinds of cell phones, they were all euro phones, last years new models. They are Tri-Band and unlocked so they will work with any carrier other than verizon. I have T-Mobil and it was as simple as pluging the SIM card from my old phone into the new one. I test a couple out and decied to go with the Panasonic A100.

Its a 'back to basics' phone, its got a black and white screen, with blue LEDs. I will go text msging, phone calls, LOUD ringer and vibrate battery plus it has a speaker phone in it. Not all the fancy stuff brand new phones will do....but tahts not the point....its small....very small....about the size of a zippo or chicken nugget, and weight is next to nothing!

Its a great little phone if you dont need color screen or camera or any of that, just a basic cell phone.

I looked online and also at a few different stores around town. Prices were from 70-100 bucks, I paid 85 with tax and all at the outlet mall. Its an awsome phone.

Samsungs and Nokias have the best reliability ratings. I wish I knew where that link went.
