- Simply place it over the console door. Secured with built-in Velcro tape.
- Interior retains factory style and look. The cushion is virtually undetectable.
- Designed to follow the contours of the existing console lid.
- Can easily be removed without damage to seats or console.
- Lid can still be opened with cushion installed.
- Made from durable black polyurethane foam. Can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
- Perfect height! Does not get in the way of anything. Only 1/2 inch thick!
- May also help keep your arm away from the seat heater switches!

Folks, I don't normally come out and give a "testimonial" but I have one of these - purchased back when it was $45 :eek: and even at that price I love it. Raises the center armrest about 1/2 with padding, which makes it just the right height for my elbow, AND it is MUCH more comfortable than the stock unpadded armrest. Simple, improves function, inexpensive, and attractive - IMHO the best kind of mod. :)

At $28 it's a steal. Get one, you won't regret it.

Markwillecho and SilverStreak you are both in. It won't fit the rear because it is contoured to fit the front lid. The overall size is off because the rear lid is smaller and the curves won't match.

Thanks for the info, I looked at the rear lid at lunch, figured that it wouldn't work. But I am in for one, it is a great price. Let me know what I need to do next.

Sometimes it pays off to have a good idea!! I've often thought it would be nice to have just a little bit more height on the center console for the elbow to rest on occasionally. Hm... honestly, seeing that the Shinka's armrest is beige with stitched leather, I'd not ruin the looks with this pad even if it adds some height - but that might be just me :)

It was a new "late acquisition" 2004 with 270 miles on it, but I haven't noticed any real problems with it yet so I don't think it had any abuse in those few miles. Anyway, I would like to get one of the console covers, so let me know how to go about it when the time comes.

It's a great mod because the stock center consol isn't high enough to act as a proper arm/elbow rest. However, for an ideal solution, I'd prefer the consol cover to be another cm higher....

Got mine yesterday. One of the best mods i've done for my car :). Very comfy!!

Mine showed up today in the post. Couldn't be much more simple to install. Feels nice. Will try it out tomorrow morning in rush hour on the way to the dealer to have the recall mods installed.

I got mine, installed it and really like it. Now after a long road trip, instead of having two sore elbows, I'll just have one! :-)

Yep, want the knee pads too. I wear shorts to work most of the year (yep, hi-tech casual in Austin) and the knees really get a beating when I'm playing with Roxy.

I ordered this console pad straight from Angelo. I received it promptly this past weekend and it took a massive 5 seconds to install. The 2 great things about it are that it definitely feels better than the hard plastic & it blends in perfectly with the car interior. Great job.

wow, zoom5 is that the knee rest you are designing? i get banged up knee and thought I might need to get of these.
any plans for Aussie version? (i.e. right side driving..) or can it work both sides? ;)
