The console pad looks great painted.

As for the knee pads, we have no plans of offering one for the right side of the console at this time. The pad will fit on the other side but may appear odd because it has to be mounted upside down. A few RX-8 drivers couldn't wait so they used our Ford Mustang knee pad and mounted it on the console (see image). The Mustang pad is 1-1/2" thick but we are coming out with a thinner version to be used on the door. That pad can be mounted on the right side of the console.

Finally, the image of the pad mounted on the door should be familiar because that is the same place Mazdaspeed mounts their's.
