From looking at Mazda's corporate site, where they give production figures here (http://www.mazda.com/publicity/siryou200306ae.html) it seems that in May they made 6,388 RX-8's of which 1,237 were for export.
This suggests that if as reported in other threads our production run will be from the 28th July to 20 August we will have approximately 1000 cars (or there abouts).
It also reports that of the 5,151 cars for the domestic market they sold 2,978 of them, I can only assume that the 2,173 were pre-sold, either that or there is a large RX-8 carpark somewhere.....
