View Full Version : Bill Maher: I'm Swiss
VelociRedBeast 08-02-2005, 12:37 PM Just watched "Bill Maher: I'm Swiss" on HBO On Demand. It's pretty funny. Most of it(if not all of it) is political. Doc and Jason would love it. He rags on Texans.. :D. Even if you are conservative watch it. It's not like your supporting him just by watching it.
Speed-ER doc 08-02-2005, 12:45 PM He's an idiot. I really don't enjoy listening to him.
tiggerlee 08-02-2005, 12:49 PM I saw it night before last. Funny stuff. He tells it like it is. No bullshit.
Aratinga 08-02-2005, 12:51 PM I love Bill Maher. I used to love Dennis Miller too, and even attended a couple of his show tapings, until he went all conservative on me. Now he's just annoying.
VelociRedBeast 08-02-2005, 01:05 PM I always found Dennis Miller annoying.

I have looked around the state, and at least I don't live in Freeport. Yuck. :p

Same here. I caught an episode of Dennis Miller's show on CNBC when he had Craig Shumaker on one night. Now I think ole Shoes is funny but he didn't have a chance to show it because every time he said something, DM just kept spewing his political crap everywhere. I hadn't watched him for a long while before that, but I couldn't believe how much of an asshole he had become.

I can see why you would not enjoy listening to him, but rumors that he's an idiot are just Neocon name calling, and really beneath your dignity. You don't see me going around calling Rush a junkie do you? :D
I, Claudius 08-02-2005, 04:18 PM Careful there, Duckie. He's an ex-junkie.
Maybe.
Grabitquick 08-02-2005, 05:05 PM He's an idiot.
Has to be, since he's one of Ann Coulter's best friends. :p ;)

Being called an idiot by Doc is like being called ugly by a frog.
Speed-ER doc 08-02-2005, 07:34 PM Being called an idiot by Doc is like being called ugly by a frog.Frogs can't talk, so what does that say about you? ;)

I was a frog once before a beautiful maiden kissed me, and I did an awful lot of talking before the Big Smacker. :p
Speed-ER doc 08-03-2005, 05:52 AM I forgot about this frog (http://www.frogsonice.com/froggy/mjfrog/index.shtml). My bad. :)
I, Claudius 08-03-2005, 06:03 AM Enough with the frog analogy, already.
Being called an idiot by Doc is like...
being called ethically challenged by Tom DeLay.
being called abusive and condescending by John Bolton.
being called incompetent by Don Rumsfeld.
being called a slimeball by Karl Rove.
Addendum: Doc, just havin' a li'l fun, of course. You're obviously not an idiot. But just as obviously, neither is Bill Maher.
I forgot about this frog (http://www.frogsonice.com/froggy/mjfrog/index.shtml). My bad. :)
Speed-ER doc 08-03-2005, 01:05 PM Yeah, after reading some of his quotes, he actually seems really smart. I take it back.
I still don't like his attitude, but I'm not particularly a Rush fan either.
babylou 08-03-2005, 04:08 PM You guys have freakin' amazing stamina!
Speed-ER doc 08-03-2005, 05:16 PM You guys have freakin' amazing stamina!Funny, your g/f said the same thing (sorry, couldn't resist). :p

I actually have a lithograph of Michigan J. Frog somewhere, if I can find it, I'll post a pic. My wife doesn't think it goes well with the other decor.
Speed-ER doc 08-04-2005, 01:09 AM I caught some bits and pieces of the show in betwen innings of the Astros win over Arizona. He said a few witty things (something like "where's the accountability? After all the intelligence failures, the only person who got fired after 9/11 was.....me.) but overall he isn't that funny as a stand-up guy. He wasn't quite as annoying as he was on his cable show though.
I suppose if you agreed with his views, this show would be sort of like the Zell Miller speech at the RNC. Only not as invigorating.
VelociRedBeast 08-04-2005, 08:25 PM Lol, ya, I found that quote pretty funny too. You should see his "(something) starts at home" he says, when talking about today's fashion:
"You know who I feel sorry for the most?.....Whores..What do whores have anymore to wear to show that they are whores?...Is that a whore? No that's little Ashley coming home from school."
I litterally almost pissed myself laughing.

He made the list :)
Just watched this last night. Very funny.
