I have a good feeling about tomorrow (7-17-2003) here in Auburn California.
Maybe I shouldn't say that out loud.

Yeah, I've felt good about the last 3 days, and how my car would BE HERE! Why should tomorrow be any different? (Sarcasim.....)

Today is the 17th..

My car came off the boat on the 17th..

The way my salesperson was standing yesterday..

I got a fortune cookie on Monday that said "Good things come to those who wait. Be patient".

"Patients" takes a maximum of three days (IMHO).

Patience sucks. I am literally 2 hours from Jacksonville, FL and still no 8's at my dealer period. Dealers all around YES... mine NO. What gives? Luckily I work close to my dealer and can periodically drive by (which I know is useless). I mean I got the release e-mail a week ago tommorow!!! The bad part is just the unknown. If it is still sitting in J'Ville FINE.... just tell me... give me the damn date its coming... thats all I (and many others I would guess) am asking for...

Funny how all these dealers have allocation units on the lot, and here we sit with our thumbs up our butts waiting for our pre-orders. Actually, now that I think about it, it's not funny at all... :(

The "release" status must be a joke. I've seen several posts that said their car was released a week ago and still no car. Released must mean the car is now sitting at the port ready to be taken to the dealer whenever Mazda gets around to it.

Mine was "released" on 7/11... I called MNAO today to gripe, and they told me it's no longer "released"....

How is that possible???

what is this number you call? or when you say MNAO are you calling your dealer. If its an 800# can you share so I can distribute my petulance accordingly?

I am looking forward to taking my new RX-8 to Seattle very early on Monday morning..
If I don't get the new car in time that means an eight hundred mile trip (one-way) in a Miata that scrapes it's frame rails on Zots Dots and is so loud that Harley riders give me the finger.
I wish I knew what I should plan for.
