C-wings now has a full door set(completely in carbon fiber) for the rx8, they sell the front doors and rear doors seperatlelyhere i can't imagine them selling one set...any of you guys be remotely intrested?

$1300 for the ugliest freaking set of doors I have ever seen........someone stop the C/F ignorance.

 

Will someone put every carbon fiber part made for the RX8 on their car. I wanna see it haha.

 

like i said i cant imagine them selling one set...but the ugliness aside, if it was a real full panel replacement that would drop quite a bit of weight :P

 

I bet you those doors arn't full c/f. probably fiberglass with c/f sheet over it. a real c/f door would cost a lot more. what's the point anyways?

well you'll be hard pressed to find a bet with someone that has some common sense. a solid piece of carbon fiber would cost at least a few times more than what they want.

 

If they were perfect quality and saved 35-45+ pounds per door and I had the money, I would get them and paint them the color of the car. They would have to be top quality though

 

first off. cwings aka gtp international is the worst company to ever work with. they still have a couple of pending lawsuits and their parts fit like ****. besides, i wouldnt trust those doors, especially if your tampering with the internal frame of the door that is supposed to protect you from side impact damage. by the way, if you were to get those doors you would have to put plexiglass because most likely the carbon/fiberglass wouldnt be able to hold the oem ones. do some research on the company and youll find out how much crap they really are. insider note, they did file chapter 11 not to long ago, and also got sued by bomex, because even though they are a distributor for them they were sending out cheap knockoffs for full price.

 

I'd want a full cage before I trust carbonfibre to stop a side impact.

not even considering it...just curious to see if there is even a market...the best place to find out? the forum users(read enthusiasts) of the car
