anyone have change the stock AT shift knob to the RX8 gear shift knob? because i seen the difference,the stock set to low and the RX8 emblem shift knob is to short :confused: anyone?

I bought a MOMO shifter and cut about an inch and a half off the shifter to lower it to match the manual shifter height. I also replaced the AT "Shift Channel" with a Manual transission shift boot... Its an easy mod, and really makes the car look great =)

I changed mine to the AT rotary knob...to be totally honest, the stock knob is more comfortable, but it's way too generic looking for me. The rotary AT knob sits rather high, but iit's fine overall. I like it. Had it a year now and haven't had any durability problems with it. I wish I could do a shift boot mod but I believe you need some kind of retaining ring that only the MTs come with.

i've seen it before with 350Z AT change it (i don't even realize it was auto) :D

i agree with you the rotary AT knob sits rather high than stock ;) Anyway i just love the rotary AT knob look like and i feel the difference :rolleyes:

Any chance for a DIY on the shift boot. It sounds interesting.

Also, where is a good place online or not, to find the different AT shift knobs?

I bought mine on Ebay... Here is the original link when I first made the mod. I actully cut off another 1/2 inch with a Dremel tool since I took these pics.
