hmm, I was just about to start a thread wondering where you were. I hadn't seen you post today.

Currently I am drinking a tasters pack of tea. Has a bunch of different flavours. I like the ginger green tea so far.

I usually like genmai cha, it's nice and simple with a light bitter sweet flavor to it. It's especially refreshing when cold but just as good hot.

how about this. Tea bag in or out? All my teas have those bags on strings. I leave them in the cup while im driking, but after a while they just start swinging from the lip, smashing me in the nose, and spilling tea all over my face. I suppose, I am getting tea bagged. :p How long should a tea bag be in for optimal flavour, yes I am an engineer, these things are important to me :D

visit peets and take a look at what they have to offer. Me im a big fan of blacks especially assam region teas. They have a slight malty flavor to them that make them perfect on their own. usually i stick to peet's but teasource has a larger selection however slighltly lower quality. read: peets is expensive and sometimes has rareflavors that are only around for a season.

do you like strong teas? bitter? ill help ya figure out a good tea to get.

if its black tea 3-5 minutes steeped in boiling water.
green tea 1-2 minutes in 190F water.

stop using teabags and start using loose tea, you're taste buds will thank you.

Lipton is generally good ;). I would have to agree that tea is much better than coffee. I just normally pick up some locally grown organic tea or chai tea.

Bigelow makes a great green tea with mint. I have like thirty different types of teas at home. I'll have to get a small list together for you.

I just got this Japanese green tea that has dried cherries in it. It smells wonderful, but I haven't made any yet. Perhaps I'll try it after dinner. :)

My wife loves Coffee. I hate it. However, when she goes to the House of Coffee (http://www.houseofcoffeepa.com/), I always check out their loose tea selection. That's where I bought the Japanese green I mentioned above. :)

Peets is a pretty good source, and the Fresh Market has decent teas if there are any near you. Loose tea is like the actual leaves and flavorings mixed together plain. It just comes in a jar, not in little tea bags, and you scoop it out and put it in the water, then remove the little bits of tea before you drink, at least that's what I do.

Depends on your preference. You can put loose tea in a pot with hot water and be done with it or you can use a steeping basket or ball which holds the leaves while it brews. Once the tea is ready you simply remove the ball or basket and drink.

3 minutes is about right then take it out and drink. A little longer if you like it strong. Too long and it gets bitter.

Fresh loose tea is so much better than the tea dust you get in tea bags. Make sure the loose tea has plenty of room to "bloom" while it is brewing.

If you live in the southeast try Publix supermarket brand tea. They sell it in gallon jugs freshly made. Its what I'm drinking right now.

I like earl grey, and lemon teas. I agree that lose tea is better then bags, but not all that practicle or easy to get, depending on region.

Since I am allergic to caffine, tea is what I drink. For some reason, the caffine in most teas does not bother me, were coffe and cola are big problems.

Chamomill is good, makes you sleepy, but feels odd on the tounge..slippery I guess.

I like green tea, but I think the caffine level is high because it gets me almost every time I drink it.
