Hello all,
I've been looking for red fenders to match my red 8 all over the 'net & the very day i ordered (and paid for) stainless steel fenders I came upon this site...
www.rx8strakes.com/rx8strakes
If anyone else out there is looking for same-colour-as-your-car fenders, here is the place!
Regards
Rick

Let me know how you go.

I have a Strato Blue RX8 and I am thinking about some silver strakes as I cant find any in Strato.

Personally, I think the silver strakes make a nice contrast but each to their own. :)

You might find some piccies in some other part of the site.

I like the strato blue - was going to be my first choice but ended up with titanium instead.

Although...i think stainless would look very nice with those polished alloys of yours (top colour BTW)- Miss Rx 8 told me about a site on ebay where you can get stainless steel (not OEM crome) and they looked great on her 8 which is the same colour as mine. That's where i ordered mine from, they cost about 73 UK pounds and have fitment instructions incl. I wanted something else to match my hymee exhaust.

Speak of the devil, its been about 2 weeks since she last posted. I thinks its time to have a beer for Kalli and all the hard work she is doing helping us ordinary people suck back a few of those hard earned dollars from little johnny! CHEERS !!!

Glad you're happy with them mate but I gotta say after seeing them I still prefer the strakes to contrast with the paintwork.

Each to their own. Enjoy. :)

I have been toying with the idea of strakes for a while now. It seems to suit all other colours except for black so I am not fully convinced yet.

I have not seen photos of black strakes so I cannot comment on how they will look.

I like your CF side vent Taka. The OEM ones are hard to clean. I understand you can buy strakes to suit these vents as well.

Can't remember where now but I saw a photo of a black 8 on the forum with shiny chrome strakes and wheels - looked very classy IMHO.

Speaking of strakes, there was a red car on the Sydney cruise with four instead of two per side (was this rx-evolv's car??). I thought that was a good look as well.

I agree, 4 strakes per side look great, they will be my next purchase  (this weekend if I can do a runner from fixing some shit around the house :p ). I'll pull a wife move and tell the missus that they were on special and only cost $50 per set of four! I'm going for chrome to contrast the Titanium.

Quality is good. Just remember to screw them in pretty tight - mine are already a little loose.

Cheers,

Thanks. I'll rememmber that. I like the look of the same color rather that the contrasting chrome. I'll let you knnow how I like them when I get them installed. It's just a matter of time!

Hey Taka,

I think the red strakes will look dandy on your car ! :D  :D

I'd like to see the red ones on a black car with red brake calipers painted in the same red colour code.

Taka - your task, should you choose to accept it. Fetch your master card, order the red strakes. Goto the paint shop, get some high temp paint the right colour. This weekend, Jack up the car, pull of the wheels and paint the calipers.

Later that evening post the pictures!!

Deano.

I agree, they do look nice on your 8, but I'm afraid black strakes ain't gonna do nothin on my black 8.

Btw, I assume they're made of steel, painted over, and then clear coated? Thanks.

Each to their own, I think they'd look like poo. The polished silver is very nice on Ti.
