my guess would be yes, because of the VFAD, and I am also speculating that RB did their research with the REVi installed, to make this a companion mod.

I have been hanging out until both the units were available before i commited myself to purchasing.

Cant help but wonder if the ram air intake will improve the initiall REVI INTAKE butt performance figures ,also how it will work with cars that have the canzoomer unit installed .

Read the RB website about their development on this duct. It is made to compliment both REVi and other Intakes.

It is basically a Cold Air Extension that works like a Ram Air.

I am guessing that those squares will be positioned behind the diamond holes of the grill.

That is what I thought too.

Hard to think there is no deflection from those square. I am thinking simple high school physics, with a page of wave coming to a series of gaps and deflection and interference.... you get amplification and depression... remember??? It was more than 14 years ago for me.

Hence, I thought there will be more turbulance...when the square finishes and become a single lumen... the easiest test is to flow some smoke thru the intake and see :)

you can rout the Turbo to suck from the Revi..
the Ram is just forcing colder air from the from grill into the box..

Remember theres a filter in the box so no bugs or water will get it..
Much like the stock air intake that also feed fromthe front grill area.. its just not forcing the air down the stock air box like revi is :) ...

i have been eyeballing the stuff from Japan for a while .. but it does not meat the same specs as the RB.. IMO the RB is the best system todate for the RX8That is what I thought too.

If you posted it on your site yesterday after you teased us about it, I would have jumped the gun and purchased it pronto regardless of it's $125 price tag. Now that an alternative has sprung up, I'm taking it. Sorry thew, but you have some tight competition here with rx8store.

Timing is essential to this business, especially for a bunch of eager members on this board.

RB has told me I have the majority of the Stock in the USA.. And that they will indeed be bumping the cost because there are a few retailers out ther that have lowerd there price so Low that RB is angry.. Untill then I will match any advertised price!!!
But look very close.. My shipping cost are true cost.. IE whatevery you put in is what UPS will charge you.. NO flat fee of $15.00 bucks for ground shipping..
So you will find if you look that my cost is still lower..

1st impressions? hehe how is teh ole' butt dyno? (i hope it's calibrated ;) )

i just recalabrated my Butt Dyno yesterday.. :)
ITs is absolutly a 5 hp gain... at the Butt :)

the ram air makes the car more responsive. You can really feel a difference in 2nd gear. Install was kind of hard because the 12 mm bolts are in there tight and it took a good amount of strength to undo and reinstall. Got a couple of hand scratches but it was worth it. I posted pictures in the media section
