So...I desperately want this car (I'm sure you can all understand). Unfortunately, being 18 and employed part time at a minimum wage job and already having received a new car from my parents in winter 2002 makes my odds of getting an rx8 look pretty slim, huh? My original plan was to get a boob job and become a stripper while I'm going to school. If you work at Hooters, I heard, they'll pay for half of your boob job (technically, one boob haha). So if I worked there for a while, really, all I'd need to raise is about $2000. I also heard that some girl just posted her pictures on the internet and was like "if you think i need a boob job send me money" and people did, and she got one. So maybe I could give that a shot. I thought maybe I'd start here since y'all can sympathize :) But really, I'm afraid of going to hell, so do any of you have any better ideas for how to get the money? If not, will you kindly make a check out to J-me's Boob Job Fund?

Here is my opinions & advise, you don't need to take my word for it:

Being 18 you should save the money and pursue a good education. You're already lucky that you parent bought you a car. As you already know money have to be hard earned, otherwise you'll be inviting trouble.

If you cannot affort the car now, it's better to wait than throw your career away. There'll always cool car available (perhaps the return of RX7?), it only takes one bad decision to ruin your life. IMO, it's not worth the efforts for the RX8 fame if you cannot affort it.

You can always dream but, Education -> Knowledge -> Money & Power => RX8 :cool:

Btw, good luck on whatever you might be pursuing.

At 18 and with school in the future, I'd be driving around without worries if my parents bought me a new 02 just-about-anything.

I had a far-off dream that I would knock at my parents with when I was 18 of getting a $30k car (my college tuition was free at the school I started out at - moms works there, that was my 'leverage' :) ) as a graduation present. But...I held out for a $300 home subwoofer and instead bought a 10-year-old integra that took me two years to pay for by myself. And making $150/mo payments was a challenge even though I've always worked full-time summers/20+hrs a week during school/7 days a week for 9 months between two jobs.

Just my story, but sounds like you might have more financial backing if you get into $ trouble. Me, I put a 1" scratch in a legend, and got in an accident that my insurance agency somehow ruled was my fault in the time of owning the ac, and found myself having to eat $2500 dealing with those incidents.

I've learned for me, its not wise to stretch outside my means budget-wise while in school.

You may want to check your sources on that, I have heard that Tampa, FL is the Nudie Bar Capital of the country.

Besides the weather is MUCH nicer here and the Beaches are world class. Getting an audition would only take walking into a club and doing your thing :-)

Being a stripper isn't easy. There's more to it that just getting naked and dancing. Sex abuse, stalking, drug use, and propositioning for sex are all common at even high class clubs. Even if you find that perfect club out there without any of that (I've got some nice beachfront property to sell you), how will you explain you got the money to buy a new car to your parents and friends? You mentioned being concerned about going to hell. If you really believe in hell and suspect that there's a chance that this could land you there, how could you possibly take that chance for a car?

Sorry, the whole thing strikes me as absurd. If you want to become a stripper and you're already aware of the numerous downsides (meaning you've talked to a few current and former strippers at the club you're thinking about), then go ahead and do it. If you are just thinking about stripping to buy a car, keep in mind that long before you've paid it off there will be something else you'll want, and that will be the easiest way to get the money. Expect to have a long career in front of you, because there will always be something new around the corner.

Oh, and if you still decide to do it, please don't get implants - natural is the way to go. :cool:

He probably is great. Lemme tell you, a girl I work with got a boob job about 3 weeks ago. Still can't stand her. Boobs don't make you a better person. It certainly didn't help her. Boobs might get you in the door but they don't keep you from getting your butt kicked out the door. As in when you're in a male dominated work environment the boobs will certainly be benefical in getting your foot in the door. To keep that job and advance you've got to have alot more than boobs. If 2, then please ... you're only 18 and you are VERY attractive. Don't make a rash decision and get a boob job, you don't need it. Instead see all the positives in yourself and let self-esteem and self-respect guide you through life. I do remember that commercial actually. Give me a break, I'm not that young. Actually, I remember my early childhood, like when I was 3 or so, pretty well, and I guess most people don't, so maybe that makes a difference. Mazdaboy says he can't remember anything before high school and I don't think my mom can remember anything from before this car accident she had in which her head smashed into the windshield causing her to have amnesia for a couple days...

i still have faded imagery, events, blurry happenings from when i was in the 1 - 2 year old range... like the orange, brown, and yellow shag carpet which proliferated in my parent's rented townhome, from which we promptly moved into a green house somewhere in Burlington, which had almost black-brown carpets in the basement... i had my first family christmas there... got HeMan and Battlecat stuff IIRC, with that little red elf-mage guy who spun around with the zip-cord pulled hard enough...

I think it would be interesting to find out if your present age has anything to do with it. i.e. how actually far back in years.

I can remember a birthday when I was maybe 5 or six. All my girl cousins there, Cowboy and Indian figures as a gift... also when my youngest sister ( 5 years younger) came home from the hospital after she was born. BTW I'm not revealing my exact age, but let's just say I'm easily old enough to be be Wakeech's or Mysterygrrl's father!

MG, for me to remember as far back as when you were 3 (15 years ago?) I would only have to remember as far back as when my first son was born (leap year day '88). Yep. No strain of the brain there.

Like Jimmy Hendrix asked, "Are you experienced?" Well, yes yessir! Yessir I was! No doubt about that. Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas - me & my 2 buddies tried like all getout to do that one time during winter break @ UVA, back in that time ('72). Darn near went too far with it, I just know it. I still remember that weekend very well! Me and the 1 guy hitchhiked from Allentown, PA to UVA in a snowstorm, then back after the fun "was over". Got picked up by a guy headed for Mardi Gras in a VW bug with no heater/defrost in the snow storm. Had to use our "warm" hands to melt the crap off the windshield so he could kinda see where he was driving. Ha!

I have fuzzy memories when I was real young. Several. Many come to me, not all at once, just a few at a time in random order & varied frequencies. Rehoboth beach, MD. Laying on a boulder at the end of the road with the smell of creosote in the air. Crop dusters spraying in the early mornings. Lotsa stuf like that. That's 50's memories there. It was truly a different world back then. No boob jobs, that's for sure. Falsies maybe...
