View Full Version : Shifter knob worn out for the second time... Hercules 07-01-2005, 07:00 PM And my dealer won't replace it. Not sure which road to take this time... it's not like I abuse the shifter or anything, I just shift like normal and it wears out. No dulling or anything of the silver accent. And I rest my hand on top of it all the time when driving. Maybe the manual knob just isn't made as well? It's seriously ugly, but much nicer to use (the stock knob feels awkward and bulky to me). But the urethane kinda looks worn right out of the box. It doesn't seem to get worse over time, but it doesn't look so hot when new either, lol... Michael 07-01-2005, 11:40 PM My rotor shaped knob seems stripped as it rotates several degrees each way. I had the dealer look into it when they were clearing/ fixing an airbag light, and they said they "fixed it" by screwing it in several more rotations.
