Did anybody in Northern California take delivery yet?

Have you gotten word from your dealer as to what day this week you may expect the car?

Don't mean to hijack, but how about anybody in CA? I don't think anyone in the Golden State has taken delivery yet....

My dealer called Sat and said that my car was released and on the truck. Today that is still all they know.

I thought a couple So. Cal folks had gotten theirs; I remember reading something from "Fubes" about some cars being released. I thought So Cal where beginning to get them, didn't realize no one has really picked one up yet.

Well this is good news, looks like somebody's car showed at a dealership in So. Cal. At least we know cars are leaving Port Hueneme...

I just called the dealer (Putnam mazda) today and the saleman said that they already sold one RX-8 yesterday with a $5000+ markup, and i said wtf.

Some of the guys in Burlingame are shifty.. talk to Sukino "Kino". They have at least 25 cars showing up at that dealership. They have the most 8's arriving in the Bay Area. Half are done deals, a third are iffy and the rest are up for grabs.. Tell them that you have spoken to a few other dealerships and that you can get MSRP (which is absolutely true). Do the VIN look-up thingy, look over the cars they have arriving and find out which ones are not spoken for. Go ahead and grab yours... I'm getting mine from Royal Mazda in SF (they have a small allocation coming in and probably not the best to try to snap one up as they come in.)

Checked today at Fresno Lithia, and the manager said the first ones were on the way and would be there Weds. or Thurs. I'll check them out as soon as they arrive and verify the actual delivery date for Central Cali. Hope mine is one of those first few!!! How many to a truck ususally???
