Question Fuzion ZRi's

I'm needing some new tires in the next month. I"ve looked into the Kumho, stock Potenza's, Nitto, and now Fuzion ZRi's. I'm liking the ZRi's. They're supposed to be just as good if not better than the Potenza's.

My big question is will a 245/40 fit without a problem? I know they're lower profile but is there anything else I should think about? Thanks guys!

Thumbs up

245/40x18 is the basic step up from stock I believe.

Yes the wheels can take that size tire fine. The tire will be about two tenth of an inch shorter so the speedo will be more correct. I am looking at tires allso and the local "Amer-Tire" have them OTD for $705. They are a good value but, I think I will get the Bridgestone RE750 for about the same price at Costco. They seem just a little better in all that I have read.

Choice....

There will be lots more choice in 245/40, that is the size the last Camaro/TransAms took.

Stock is 225/45.

That's interesting to find out that a lower profile tire will make the speedo more acurate. I like the Fuzion tire so I'll probably get it. I was told about $750 for all 4. I hope to get lots of enjoyment out of them. Any other ideas or suggestions welcome. Thanks guys!

My speedometer shows a little fast, 77 when going 75. A smaller tire will make it read lees correct. Actually 245/45 is about 2% bigger than stock and would make the speedometer more accurate.

We are talking 245/40 not 45. Call your local Firestone dealer and he can sell you 4 for the price of 3 if he wants to deal. Good luck...

I was told that Fuzion ZRI is actually a rebadged Bridgestone Potenza RE750. So that should be a great tire for the money!!

Why such high costs for these tires, tirerack has them for only $127 a piece.

I just got back from my local firestone and they quoted me about $50 less than the other place in my hometown. So I can't wait to get them in the next two weeks. Driving through a half inch puddle and having it splash forward isn't cool ya know. :p

On the same tire later this summer I heard from the dealer, so not taking it to heart, that fuzion will be releasing the tire with colored lettering in one of 3 colors: orange, green, and blue. I think it may be kinda tacky, but we'll see.

The price you see on "Tire Rack" is just the tire not all the other charges. Price the tire all the way OTD. Then remember warranty and mount and balance, ect.
