No it's not mine:(

Got a call from the dealer that the 8 was in, happen to be there when the lucky owner was taking delivery. The dealer claimed it was the first one delivered in the state.

Man that RX-8 is a looker!!!:D

Yea, I got mine at about 4pm.. Drove it off the lot at about 6pm. Guess all the dealers were saying "first on the island".. blah blah.. What dealer were you at?

Will definitely post some pics as soon as the sun shows..

Hey RX-Nut, Congrats!!!:D
Saw your pics in your "I'm number 2" thread - nice! I guess you maybe number 1 in Hawaii. I was at Cutter Ala Moana, and the lucky owner of a red/chaparral drove off at about 6:30 pm. But there are other dealers on the island, so who knows.

I didn't try to do a deal, because they didn't have one for me to test drive, and the yellow one that I want to see was in the detail shop. They said the yellow one would be available for a test drive today. So I'm curious too, were you able to get it close to MSRP, or did you pay full mark up? Since it was the first day, I'd guess they would not have been too generous on the price.

Anyway, enjoy your car! Let us know your impressions too.

Yep.. that's JN!

Full price was $39K.. and I didnt pay that. Had a good neg session going.. but was able to pay close to MSRP.. Not bad considering the Hawaii factor..
