To allow everyone enough time, lets try and get together on Saturday July 2nd. The more 8's the better. VP fair is a possible idea, but not sure if everyone wants to deal with that large of a crowd and the mess for parking. At least this far in advance we have about 2 1/2 weeks to get a meeting time and place together. All other planning can go from there. What is everyone's ideas on this?

 

Forgot to mention, July 3rd is good to or even the 4th. Figure everyone will be doing their own family/bbq thin on the 4th though.

 

The 3rd works better for me. I will be in KC on the 2nd. I do also believe that meeting at the VP Fair would be a mess. I think that Creve Couer is still the best place, we just have to be more specific this time. I can put together some specific directions, if we can agree on that location.

 

BG80, I haven't been on here for a while. How is your car? More importantly, how is your neck?

 

Hey carguy, the 3rd sounds good to me. Car is all back together and looking great. It just recently took 2nd place in the O'Fallon, IL Mayfest carshow. There were about 250 cars entered. Neck is getting better, mainly the lower back is all screwed up. I'll probably have that pain for the rest of my life. Some days better than others I guess. I know spdspappy hasn't been on here in a while. However, his wife did just have their baby about a month ago. So congrats to him and we'll grant him that excuse for being a stranger. New baby has to come first. Hopefully we can get some other people to join us. Maybe meeting up at Dave & Buster's parking lot might be a little easier this time than the Park. Just an idea.

 

Third is better for me as well. Hopefully Ill have my car back from the dealer by then.

How does this sound, Noon on July 3rd at Dave & Buster's parking lot. We can maybe grab a bite to eat there or somewhere else, we can decide on that when we meet up. Everyone will probably know what they are more in the mood for then. And from there we can also figure out where else we may want to go. Does this sound good, or are there other suggestions for time and place. If we do decide on D&B and you don't know where it is, take I-70 to Earth City Expressway South. Make a right at the first set of stop lights (Riverport Plaza) and follow the loop around until you reach D&B. It's about 3/4 of a mile once you turn into Riverport Plaza. D&B can seen off the south side of I-70. Let me know what you think everyone......

Any age is fine with me. I am 25 myself, so I might be a younger one in the group too. Not really sure. All that matters to me is that you plan to have a good time and you love the 8 as much as the rest of us.

But yeah, age didn't seem to make much difference the first couple of times out, so why should it now? And, since nobody asked, BG and I share an age.

So looks like it will at least be the five of us. Good size group I'd say. This may seem corny to some, but it would be neat if we could get at least 8 of us. Then we would have 8 8's. But hey, if we end up getting just the five of us or even more than 8, that's fine too.
