I've just finished part 1 of 2 videos I'm producing for a NASA HPDE event that a group of us attended in March at Road Atlanta. This first video is from our tuning session on Friday, the day before the race as everyone is prepping their cars, washing, and getting pumped for the event. It's kind of a 4 1/2 minute mini documentary.

Note: I noticed I spelled "tuner" wrong so please don't blast me too bad. I'll go back and fix it. I just couldn't wait to put it up.

- Scroll down to "Videos - Road Race Courses" / "Road Atlanta NASA Event, March 19-20, 2005"

- Choose one of the movie types. I saved it out as Quicktime (.mov) and Windows Media Player (.wmv). I STRONGLY suggest you view the .mov file, as it is 10 times better quality than the .wmv file.

Some people are having problems with the quicktime version (.mov). I apologize and will try to get a new version up soon. Until then just view the .wmv if you have problems... Sorry!

Yeah seems like some sort of video codec problem, because the audio works, but you get an error from QuickTime that it needs some software that it can't find.

Also the WMV video seems to jerk about wildly every few seconds or so, not sure if thats just me or still a problem with the video. Though I don't have issues with any of the other WMVs of your site, or anywhere else.

Its a cool video hope you get the bugs out soon :D looking forward to it. And thanks for taking the time to do this.

Battousai or anyone else, please let me know if the .mov file works now. I don't have a PC to try it on.

I'll look into the .wmv file as well.

The quicktime movie worked flawlessly for me. Very nicely produced. I can't wait to see the track video. :)

Charles R. Hill is helping rxeightr put in his new RB flywheel. Racing Beat made a slight mistake by shipping him a Miata flywheel and the guys had not checked it out before droping the transmission. Luckily Marietta 8 (Mazcare) had one in stock so the breakdown was not in vain. They put her back together with "no extra parts" left over.

How do you guys get involved in these events? Do you have to take classes or get instruction? Is there a big cost for getting free reign on the track? I would like to do something like that some day. I am too quick for the streets and the police are sure to remind me of that every chance they get. Thanks in advance.
