Got A CEL yesterday..
On my way home yesterday, I hit the rev limiter beep in 1st and the CEL came on for about 20-30 seconds and then disappeared. At the next light, I did the same thing, but no CEL this time. Should I be concerned about this? I commute to work in the city, so I never get to really rev the car, but after reading all the threads about carbon build up, I figure I'll hit the rev limiter once a day...

I got mine last week - took it the dealership - came back as a front rotor random misfire- they tweaked something- and gave me the latest flash- no problems since. Mine happened at about 7500rpm shifting from 4th to 5th- CEL flashed for about a minute and quit. I try to redline "beep" at least once a day- I'm also mainly a commute driver- but I head out at night for a 30 minute zom-zoom. It's so relaxing driving this car.

This happened to me once. I discussed it with my dealer. His response was that many things can trip a CEL. But unless it returns or does not turn off, there is nothing to worry about. This happened when I first got the car, just after engine break-in period, at least a year and a half ago. The CEL never returned.
I suggest documenting this with your dealer just in case the CEL returns.
