I just spoke with my Dealership, Sandy Sansing Mazda in Pensacola, Florida, and the status on the daily report is released. The car is expected to arrive at the dealership late this afternoon. They are going to be open late to get the car ready for me to drive home tonight!

Finally some good news!

Any other confirmations? budaman, fubar, others?????

I also meant to add that when I spoke with the dealership yesterday, at about 4:00 PM, the status was still "in port" or "on port." This morning is the first time the status has shown as "released".

Told you they would be released today :) Now I just need to figure out if mine is among those released.

Just got off the phone with my dealer in Morrow GA. They said they ran the report this morning and my car still shows on port and when it does change then expect 7-10 days for delivery. But, they are card carrying members of the liars club and have never had good information just lots of mis-information.

Mine still doesn't show "shipped", however my dealer did a "locate" on RX-8s bound for other dealers and noticed the following:

Jim Ellis Mazda in Chamblee, GA [2 shipped]

Jim Ellis Mazda Marietta, GA [2 Shipped]

Fairway Mazda in Savannah, GA [2 shipped]

Mazda of Roswell, GA [1 shipped]


Looks like they are starting to zoom, zoom, zoom....

Just received another call from the dealership, again verifying the status change. Also, he informed me that the truck was loaded with 8 "8s" and would stop in 2 cities before arriving in Penscola. However, our new car should still arrive at the dealership late today. We are so excited!!!

I would be more than happy to! The digital camera has fresh batteries and is waiting to go. I'll post the pics as soon as we arrive home. It is about an hours drive from here to the dealership.

I hope that everyone will get a status change in the next few days. It will be more exciting reading posts about everyone's experience in their new RX-8s than about conspiracy theories!

I am with Fairway Savannah.. I took the day off today (Monday & Tuesday) and one of my co-workers called me this morning to tell me he saw two silver RX-8's on a truck heading down Abercorn Street to my dealership. Damn maybe he was right!

RX-8-U-Up, I don't suppose you'd like to cruise up to Crestview to shoot some photos, eh? :D :D Well, I had to try...

Once we get the car, I think we'll be cruising all over Northwest Florida. I called the dealer at 3PM, and he said the truck was still expected today, maybe around 6PM. The truck had other stops before them, from what I understand.

Crestview is just right up the road. I'll make sure to get you some pics! If you get me an address, maybe we can make arrangements.
