i must say, i like the head unit and how it is mounted in there, but all the CF and neons got to go. The body kit is cool, the wing and rims are fugly IMO. and i agree, this kid needs to get to English class in a hurry.

Are you kidding? Sure the auto has potential for HP gains but I doubt they sell well in Japan (I believe that autos make up a very small market share). My cousins and friends in Asia laugh at the fact that majority of our cars are autos. Pretty much all vehicles there are standard.

I have an auto, wich is the 1 reason im not to keen on getting a kit etc.

I drive mine round in the tiptronic setting all the time anyways. I cant swap it for a manual i would feel rude considering my mum braught it for me as a pressie.

I have to say it is a damn good change way better then a BMW M3 and other mercs i have driven wich cost a shit load more i may ad.

Actually most of the cars in Japan are Autos. At least most of the cars I've been in. In the same article that mentioned why the AT got the Turbo first, it's because most of the market there have AT RX-8s.

With the congestion in the bigger cities in Japan, I doubt it would be wise to even have a MT.

im going to go against the general concensus here, i think the car is pretty good. it may not be your tastes but its to be expected when you get into the import car scene/sport compact scene, if you look at the company cars of the products you are buying in japan, their cars suprisingly enough look like this. you all sound like a bunch of goddamn rednecks with domestics bitching, he has more performance aftermaket than a lot of you guys. so what he's enjoying being part of modern pop culture talking "street" and whatnot, he can be a sheep/dumbass if he wants to, its not hurting me. also, all of his work was done right, everything was installed professionally. there are many things that i dont prefer here, but it was all done right so i give him my respect. his rims may be "ricey" in your opinion, but its made by probably the least ricey wheel brand in japan, RAYS wheel companys (who make wheels for JGTC, mazdaspeed, nismo, etc to give you a few) line of g games wheels. the only thing that i i think is flat out rice is the vents on his fenders, the rest of the stuff is fine. he obviously loves his car alot and has put a lot of time and money into it and he's enjoying his car, just because its not suited to your 40 year old conservative tastes shouldn't mean you flat out say he's retarded or his car is ugly, i doubt you guys could say theres not at least *one* mod he did that you wouldnt mind. he has a pretty good amount of suspension work, that makes up for the GT wing and lambo doors alone for me.

well if it wasn't for his comments following his pictures the car wouldn't be so bad. The rims are horrific, and he mentioned his bodykit being one of a kind when it isn't. They wanted to market an elemental sports car which would appeal to enthusiasts. That would not include an automatic, or many other creature comforts available in the RX-8. Mazde went another route, and sells a lot more RX-8s than Honda sells S2000s, but Honda apparently doesn't much care about sales of the S2000 as much as it cares about what the motoring press says about it as a pure performance car.
