Just called Port of NJ and spoke to the Mazda office there and asked if they could give me a clue as to when the RX-8s would be released to dealers and the response was "I cannot give out that information at this time". Man you have to love the lack of communication at this point. I don't have a pressing need for the car just a desire to have some clue as to when it will be here so I can plan accordingly.

They are under directive not to discuss under non-disclosure agreements. You can't blame them. Pestering the Ports(whom are not equipped to handle customer calls but only process/accessorize/distribute vehicles by region) will only delay their work to meet on-time objectives. We're lucky enough to have the info we already have.

Cut them some slack and let them do their job so you will have a perfect delivery. Besides you will unlikely call and thank them for expediting your delivery anyways.

Some of these jackoffs at Mazda give me the feeling like we are digging for info on the release of some new top secret nuclear warhead or something. If they would let us know what the hell is going on we would not have to pester the port people (who we know have the info) for some simple update about where the hell our cars are.

It is a freakin' car for christ sake's......from what I have been reading its like they want to have them all secretly show up at the dealership on or around the same day, and want nobody to know. SHHHHHHHH!!!

My dealership called me today and said that my rx8 should arrive in 7 days(My car was in the new jersey port)Now take that as you must, but im hoping hes not pulling a number out of his ass. After all he did call me to inform me about it. ive waited this long whats another week.

i called port of Nj and damm they were like who are you, why are you calling, dont call here again or you will get in trouble, and a whole bunch more good things.
P.s i moms friend works at the port and said he has seen them but wont tell me anything it sucks so much its like the chinese water touture.

2 days ago they keep saying it will be here soon im very confused here i dont even have a vin it cant be comming in soon. i ordered the car april 1

i didnt call the dealership and wasnt even expecting a phone call. He called me at my house and said it would be there in 7 days. Now i dont know if there is any truth to this so dont hold me to it. This pre-order program is like a roller-coaster full of emotions.
