However I am able to "get" the file through FTP. Appreciate it in advance. My cable connection is extremely slow (128k) so I can't stream a lot of stuff. But downloads work fine and I've been wondering how to save streaming contents. Any help? RX-8 Zoomster 07-11-2003, 11:39 PM Originally posted by Cihuuy does anybody know what program can play asf files?? my windows media doesnt seem to detect this file!?! My Windows Media Player Version 9 plays .asf files. If you have version 7,8 or 9, you should have no problem playing this type of file format. Most likely you need to either upgrade your WMP version or do a reinstall. Do one of those things, and you should be alright. No need to go out and get a third-party media player. TerenceT 07-12-2003, 01:10 AM the last part of the vid running thru the pylon anyone knows if the ESP is on or disable or off?? Canada 07-12-2003, 07:42 AM RX-8 über alle! RX-8 Zoomster 07-13-2003, 11:23 AM Originally posted by Maximus Hi Zoomster, I am running Media Player version 6.4 and worked just fine for me. Thanks. I should have been more specific, but I didn't want to go back and list every version of medial player that supports .asf. Version 6.4 being one of them. I just took the law of averages that most people would have one of the latest 3 versions, he included, and thought that he might have a version that did not support it. Even if he did have a compatiable version, it can become corrupt, hence the need for an install. So if he needed to do an re-install, do it with one of the newer versions. Plus, not that you have to, but it would probably be smart for MOST people to upgrade to the newest versions, for full compatiablity for most file formats. Sometimes an older version is fine, but in most cases there is a distinct advantage to keep your OS & software up-to-date with the newest versions, upgrades, and service patches/packs. |
