View Full Version : Pics of my Titanium with mods
teebee 06-04-2005, 08:14 PM Well I purchased my RX-8 this March and with the help/influence :D of this forum I have added several things to it including an authentic Mazdaspeed body kit, MS lightweight flywheel, MS springs + shocks, Racing Beat catback exhaust, RB sway bars, RB Revi Intake, RB spark plug wires, lineage ground kit, painted calipers, and a custom audio system with a 4080 sub box. I had never really modded any of my cars before this, but somehow I was compelled to mod the 8.
Here are some pics.

TR1GGERx1 06-04-2005, 08:15 PM everything looks nice. BUT the rims is not my taste. dun like the bling bling on the 8.... at least not that kind... but overall looks good.
teebee 06-04-2005, 08:17 PM Those are just some rims I got at a very good price. I am eventually going to get some Volks or other lighter weight wheels.

slllygrl10 06-04-2005, 08:21 PM I like the overall look of the car and I agree with trig on ur wheels.
XDEEDUBBX 06-04-2005, 08:21 PM yea nice body kit but rims gotta go,,,
slllygrl10 06-04-2005, 08:25 PM How heavy is the 4080? And did you get it from 4080 as well? I might be getting this in a few weeks cuz the box I have now sits in the middle and I hardly have any trunk space.
IZoomZoomI 06-04-2005, 08:27 PM Car looks great, nice mod list. The exhaust looks great with the ms rear. Great job, what's next?
slllygrl10 06-04-2005, 08:28 PM U have 10 or 12" sub?
Bonton 06-04-2005, 08:33 PM very nice, so how do you like the RB intake/exhaust combo?
teebee 06-04-2005, 08:52 PM I love the RB intake/exhaust combo.
I have a 10" Alpine R Type sub in the 4080 box. Not sure on the weight of the box alone... maybe 15lbs?
Next mods:
Canzoomer plus high flow cat
Volk Wheels
But these are going to be down the line.
cosmicenergy 06-04-2005, 09:45 PM Looks awesome!!
mikeb 06-04-2005, 09:49 PM beautiful car
very good job if it is your first time fixing a car up
TODreamer 06-04-2005, 10:18 PM what do you guys have against his rims? I think they look hot
teebee 06-04-2005, 10:24 PM Well personally I've went back and forth about the rims. When originally looking for a car we were looking at a G35 with very nice chrome rims... it looked very good and my wife really wanted rims like that. But we ended up buying an RX-8 because of price and we actually liked the way it drove better, but still the wife really wanted chrome rims and I found these at a really good price so what the heck I got them - besides I wanted at least something to set them apart from "stock". BUT.. some people just do not like chrome rims on a sports car and I guess that's a matter of personal preference. I like them enough and they look really great when clean but really I like 19" Volk GTC's or GT7's in gunmetal even better or even some lightweight 18" SSR's but at this time I am not prepared to pay another $3K for wheels and tires.
Spazm 06-04-2005, 10:25 PM I don't think they are overly "bling." I actually think they are very tasteful. They aren't my favorite, but I definitely think his ride looks great!
I'm reminded again how much I like the 2 tone that the MS kit gives on the Ti...looks so nice.
Moostafa29 06-04-2005, 10:30 PM Thats quite a lot in 3 months. Congrats, looks great (minus wheels).

IZoomZoomI 06-06-2005, 01:32 AM now thats hot
Mikelikes2drive 06-06-2005, 01:44 AM the challanges would look alot better :D
are those new groundwires or spark plugs??? (the red wires in your engine bay)
XDEEDUBBX 06-06-2005, 01:50 AM Thats more like it!!
AutoBahnRX8 06-06-2005, 03:20 AM Gotta love the volks! Waiting to go back to the states, then the INGS +1 will be my choice for body kit.
teebee 06-06-2005, 09:25 AM Both - new ground wires and new Racing Beat spark plugs. I also forgot to mention earlier that I have the RP shortshifter installed. My friend "modena" from these forums already has those wheels on his car so I doubt I will get those exact ones, but yes Volks is the top brand I am looking at right now.
chrism 06-06-2005, 09:33 AM if you must go bling and your wife likes chrome why not find some of these rims :D ...they worked for me :D gotta love the oem dark chrome

This is definitely the way to go....
Sweet ride; but I disagree on the rims... too bling bling for my taste....
RX-GR8 06-06-2005, 10:37 AM looks great.
teebee 06-06-2005, 10:03 PM Here's a short clip showing how it sounds with the RB Revi Intake and RB Exhaust:

cLLcLe 06-06-2005, 10:42 PM GT-C's and GT-V's aren't cut out for the RX-8. It just doesn't flow with the body in my opinion.
That car would look gorgeous with bronze TE-37's. *drool*
theCATALYST 06-06-2005, 11:20 PM I think the rims would look great n my w. blue 8. What are they and how much did they run you?
Damn nice job overall.
teebee 06-07-2005, 01:03 AM They are American Racing Casinos. $200 a piece.
jaehyun127 06-07-2005, 01:31 AM that car is hot... i love everything and EVERYTHING... (minus the strakes)
orbist 06-08-2005, 05:43 PM I like it all a lot. Nice job.
