I'm going to take this waiting time to:

1. Go to the store and buy a hogs hair brush, car soap, wheel cleaner, tire cleaner, tire dressing, carnauba wax and some good towels.
2. Sweep and hose out my garage (maybe clean it up a little too so the 8 will feel comfortable in there...a nightlight?)
3. Get some CDs ready to rock.
4. Get all my stuff out of my trade (91 Stealth Turbo) and clean it up. Maybe take some pictures one last time.
5. Get film for my camera and have the digital ready.
6. Get my insurance and an envelope to hold the registration when I get it.
7. Get all my paperwork from the preorder, and my financing set.
8. Get a case of oil and find a convenient place in the garage for it.
9. Get a small box with the stuff I'll want in the 8 (case for shades, gum, ice scraper, CDs, spongebob air freshner, etc.).
10. Figure out how I want to arrange my keys (how big is the bob??).
11. Have excuse ready to leave work early.

Am I missing anything?

When you say 'case for shades' do you mean sunglasses? If so, note that the window sticker printout lists under Interior Features:
Overhead Console w/Sunglass Holder:D

In the pre-production model I saw on Monday, there is a sunglasses holder above and to the left of the driver.

Although in your country with your strange habit of driving on the right, it will be to the right of the driver.

I've already done all this:

* Sold my car (last weekend)
* Purchased my Zaino and other goodies
* Cleaned the garage to a state of near perfection (my wife is overjoyed)
* Have my check ready ($$$)
* Ordered my accessories (strakes, sills, rotary valves, exhaust finishers)
* Got the digital camera ready
* Sent my pre-delivery instructions letter to the dealer
* Cleared my calendar for Friday (7/11)

NOW JUST DELIVER THE DANG CARS!!!! BEFORE I GO INSANE
:(

* Bought & Received the Zaino
* Got pre-approved with the Credit Union yesterday
* Faxed & Mailed to my dealer my pre-delivery instructions letter
* Got the truck for sale on Autotrader & locally
* Insurance quotes in hand

LOL, so true!. Items 3 (Linkin Park will be the first to play),5,6,7 complete. Item 2 is always true, but I went so far as to tear out a heated workshop in the back of the garage, had a full cement truck come in to make a 20' by 40' concrete working space and I'm now in the process fully insulating the garage so I can heat it mid-winter for washing and any work that needs to be done. Item #1 is soon. Added to my list was a pair of polarized prescription sunglasses to further enjoy the drives.

Sounds like a great set-up Fritz. Heat in the garage sounds like a great idea for our Pennsylvania winters. Gotta give that some thought.

make sure you put in a floor drain in the new pad that way you can wash the car inside and let the water go out the drain:)
