I do observe, however, that was a pretty old poll before anyone actually placed an order (Dec 02). Indulge me in running new numbers and try to narrow down those who are actually buying the car. BTW, I can't see the results in the older poll, just the comments posted. Do the results vanish after a while? Rev It Up 07-09-2003, 10:52 PM Married 39 years old 2 kids 13 and 10. Yes the 13 year old has good taste, says its his car when he tuns 16. Thats my boy!!! 8_wannabe 07-09-2003, 10:53 PM Originally posted by Rev It Up Married 39 years old 2 kids 13 and 10. Maybe they got their own chat room going and we're not invited?! Edge 07-09-2003, 11:19 PM My three year old is already doing that! He can point at a picture of it and say, "That's oouurr car." (and or MY car) He's been a little disconcerted by my selling off Daddy's car (green Miata) and Gramma's car (beige mini-van) in preparation for the RX-8. He even knows it's gonna be yellow. Rev It Up 07-09-2003, 11:32 PM Guess its in the genes. Some kind of rotary sickness. My familys got it real BAD!!!!!! Edge 07-09-2003, 11:55 PM My wife is actually pleased with the current delay! She was really bummed that I might get to pick it up without her being there or getting to test drive it. (She's on a trip to the east coast, returns tomorrow) Ahh ... yet another conspiracy theory, Mazda would not release the cars until my wife was ready to test drive. c170673 07-10-2003, 12:32 AM I am married with a baby due 2 months after the RX-8 finally arrives, so I suppose I qualify for the married with young kids. Chris canzoomer 07-10-2003, 01:35 AM Married, 46, 2 kids aged 17 and 19 Other vehicles at present are Honda Odyssey and Chev pickup RX-8 Zoomster 07-10-2003, 01:43 AM Married. 19 yr. old daughter (only child) away at college. Just me and the mrs. now. Alone at last. ;) jtimbck2 07-10-2003, 08:12 AM There isn't an option in the poll for my family status*...but I guess we could emigrate to Canada and get married now ;-) (*partnered for 16 years with 3 cats) RotorGeek 07-10-2003, 09:00 AM Married and just purchased house a year ago. We are just about to start the child factory rxeightr 07-10-2003, 09:10 AM Married 9 years -- her kids (17 & 15) live with us. The RX-8 will be a family ride. While we do have a '94 Jeep Cherokee, I don't see ANY of us wanting to use that when we can have a blast in the RX-8. Soon Come..... IwantONE2 07-10-2003, 09:14 AM Married - no kids (yet). I will probably keep this car a long time, so the ability to put a child seat in the back seat was actually one of the reasons I ended up picking the eight over some of the competition(350Z), even though we don't have kids yet. 94medition 07-10-2003, 09:50 AM I have been lurking around for several months but this is my first post. I am 35, married with a 3 months old son. I will be in the market for a new car next year. Really like the RX-8. I was in the Rev-It-Up in Dallas and sat in 2 pre-production cars. Loved them, but have concern with how well a car seat will fit behind me (I am 6'3"). Really looking forward for info/comment from people when they get their cars. BTW I really enjoy this board, it is very informative. Terrence |
