I just heard today that the cars with the NAV package have not been shipped yet, probably due to the unavailability of the NAV. The reason he seemed to know this is because his own personal car was ordered with NAV and it still shows a status of factory - even though mine is in port at JAX or on the way to Augusta (I did not want the NAV).

Has anyone else heard the same story?

I have NAV and mine is on the water to JAX


There are plenty of guys on the forum with "arrived" cars who have Navs

That is not correct, many cars have had their nav units installed in Japan and have been shipped.

I don't think that's a true story. Mine has NAV and a status of 30.

I'm gonna have to go along with everyone else - mine's a status 30 and I've got NAV.

not true. mine has nav and has been in port since first ship!!

Mine's in Midlothian Texas with NAV.

that is a really old theory from months ago. perhaps the lounge conspiracy theory thread would be a better place.

been killed twice from what i remember. oh yeah, mine is sitting in CA and it's got NAV too.

I have NAV and my car is at the JAX port.

Mine has NAV and to my knowledge, is somewhere between Pt. Hueneme and San Luis Obispo, CA (It could be sitting in Pt. H for all I know).

Fubes could tell me more at this point (It's on land somewhere).

Glad to hear that it's not true! I don't exactly know where my dealer got his info, but obviously he believed what he heard.

I was at the Mazda Canada parking lot last Friday looking around for an RX-8 and we found a gorgeous blue RX-8 with NAV.

Is this an argument were all having?;)

Has anyone else heard the same story? Who did you hear this from - I would not listen to this person again on anything to do with the RX-8. This forum has much more info (most of it accurate) than any other sources I have found. Tell your friend to check this place out.

I will pick up my car in two weeks (sometime in week of 21st July according to my dealer) if I love the test-drive. It has NAV. Mazda techs are scheduled to give training to salesguys/techs at my dealership on 16th July on the Navigation system (also used on Mazda6) and other stuff (Renesis?) - they couldn't do that if cars with NAV didn't exist to demo on.

Mine has nav and its on a truck right now headed to my dealer.

(At least I hope that's where it is.) :D
