Just like the title says - I am looking for a place that is familiar with tinting the RX8 here in the San Jose area in California. Anyone have a favorite place they go for tinting around here? Well anyone except Mr Tint. :D

Have you tried searching the forum to see what places people have already recommended?

Yes and the places listed so far are not in the Bay Area. I know of Omega Tint Werks and I would prefer not to drive up to Pleasanton to get my windows tinted. The other place that seems to be recommended is Sidney, the tinter over at Automall which is in Fremont, which is not San Jose either. :D

I would consider Fremont as definitely in the Bay Area and possibly in the San Jose area, depending on your definition of "area". (It fits my definition at least.)

Part of the equation is how far are you willing to go for quality work? When I contemplated spending five figures on a car audio system, I ended up going to an installer over 90 miles away from where I lived.

Mr Tint has 7 outstanding and unresolved better business bureau complaints. That kinda scares me away from him. Oh and he is no longer in Oakridge Mall. He used to installs in the parking garage, but has disappeared.

I just got a recommendation for California Auto Tinting as well. If I am recall, they are located near east San Jose or am I way off? I can't seem to find them on Yahoo local or local.google.com.

P.S. I think I've seen you before on the 280 ramp merging onto 17/880 where it splits. You went towards the Valley Fair way, and I took the other ramp. Maybe that was you?
