I preordered with the Mazda Store in Hurst, TX. They're owned by Freeman. I just got a call from a salesman who said they are now Hiley Mazda, and that they're expecting a truckload of RX-8s in today and that mine might be on it.

I drove down to the Mazda Store and it was all closed up, and the new outfit is down the street in a temporary building. The manager there didn't know anything about Mazdas because he was working for Hiley Mitsubishi before they bought out Freeman in Hurst. They couldn't look up VINs or anything because the computers aren't hooked up and there's boxes all over the place.

I hope the truck driver doesn't get lost

I'm going to take some stuff up there for them to look at because all he's seen is the brochure. Wow, what a development. I hope everything works out OK. :)

That's good news. We went to the rev it up and looked them over and sat in the front and back. Didn't find anything objectionable at all.

I went by Hiley in Hurst a couple of days ago and asked where all those RX-8s were that were supposed to be here. He was a little sheepish and said he got some bad info and they would be in next week.

I was there today filling out my paper work so I can pick it up Monday. Mine is the other yellow but it was securely parked in the back building with the wraps on it. Liked the look of the yellow. Another person was looking at it while I was there (about 4 P.M.) and was thinking of buying it at MSRP.

Lucky dog. Mine's been camped out in Midlothian for 2-3 weeks now with nothing to be installed on it, but I guess as a 2nd order group, mine hasn't been loaded on a truck yet. I hope they're not doing something stupid like waiting to roll out all the 1st group, then the 2nd... I guess they want most people to get the 04s in 04...

Hiley Hurst is in a temporary building. It looks pretty tacky, much like "we tote the note" used car dealers on Division St. However, they let me drive one of their cars that wasn't spoken for, so that made all the difference.

Nope. Received my WRX, first allocation, this way also. Plastic inside also.

Here is my Hiley mobile, cleaned and waxed today. This car looks great in any color. Congrats to all the Hiley people.

Just drove 200 mile round trip to Sherman. Was behind a new Z for a while. It was nice to see these cars on the road again. My car sounds and feels better every mile I put on it. Any more Hiley deliveries? Looks like Hiley is putting out the most cars at this time (at least with forum members).
