When I arrive, I find the b/f in a very foul mood... seems our garbage disposal had failed and flooded the cabinet under the kitchen sink. We'd known for a while it was on its last legs and had bought a replacement unit already; so he installed it and in the process banged his right thumb really hard with a hammer. (Don't ask me why a hammer is involved in the installation of a garbage disposal. I don' know nutting.)

So what greets me when I go inside is a flooded kitchen cabinet, the contents of which are now strewn about on the kitchen floor; a very pissed-off boyfriend, and a parrot who's learned at least two new cusswords that he's now happily announcing at the top of his little parrot lungs.

My razor-sharp female intuiton told me this was not a good time to say, "Honey, could you take that icepack off your hand so you can take a picture of my butt so I can post it on the internet? I promised a bunch of guys there I'd do it tonight."
