I need a rear end 4:44 gears out of a protege or a Miata, they are the same used in a Honda S2000. I believe the part number is M054-27-110A

Please let me know if you have them in stock and a price.

Thanks

My dad has a supercharged S2000 and after putting in his tien suspension we went for a ride and blew out the last set that he had installed. So he needs a new set then he will send them in to get strengthened (like what I told him to do before) This is what blew up the last one.

Tigster,
You've got me working hard on this one. The number you've provided is a truly strange one and applies to neither of the vehicles that you mentioned. Also neither comes with a 4.4 gear. The number you have is from a 87 B2600 4X4 front differential (Or 88). Good luck finding it. It is in fact a 4.44 gearset. I couldn't speak for the compatability but the RX8 set is also that ratio and it's entire unit is pretty beefy. Before you ask I won't be selling any gearsets from them separately any time soon. Maybe I can help you in some other way, we'll see.
Paul.

Thanks for looking, if you run across something that will work please let me know. Right now the car has the original 4:11 gears that came with it.

I looked up the part number also on Mazda Motor sports and they show that part number also for a 79 - 85 Rx-7 and a 94 - 97 Miata. Someone also told me it was the same part number for a protege turbo? I wasnt aware there was a protege turbo.

Mazda Competition does sell this gearset for the 79 to 85 RX7 as well as the 94 to 97 Miata just as you stated. I'm surprised that this would work in your car. If this is the case then the RX8 uses a bigger, beefier rear-end. If you aren't on the Mazda comp program you can go to your local dealer and provide that number. The part isn't that pricey.
