For those of you who own both games, which do you like better?

It’s a toss up for me. Right now I’m really enjoying Forza, but GT4 is still great. I’m just a little bored with GT4.

Points for GT4:
- More cars
- More tracks
- Greater game depth
- The sheer artistry of the graphics and the game itself
- Photo Mode (I really like this)
- Off Road Rally & Ice Race events
- Driving Force Pro Steering Wheel
- RX-8 Le Mans Race car
- RX-7 RE Amemiya Race car
- Mazda 787B LM Race car (Sadly missing from Forza)

Points for Forza:
- Exterior customization of the cars (I really like this)
- Real tuner body kits
- Races seem more challenging and exciting
- Computer opponent’s AI seems more brutal
- 2 player mode is way better than GT4
- On-line play (must be really fun, but I don’t have Xbox live :( )
- Real Porsche (not RUF fakes) and Ferrari makes
- Load your own soundtracks
- Car damage
- While not as artistic as GT4 in looks, the graphics are smoother/cleaner.
- Mazdaspeed RX-8
- 20B TT rotary engine swap

Being a creative kind of guy, I really like the Photo Mode in GT4 and the ability to change your car’s looks in Forza. With the shapes provided, you can create just about any kind of vinyl scheme for you car. (It’s a real pain creating text, but still very doable.)

I rate these games just about dead even for me. But I think I’d give the nod to Forza by a very slim margin. I may feel differently six months from now.

I also rate the games about dead even. Though, I'd probably give a slight edge to GT still. I think GT does the feel of driving a car around a track much better than Forza does - it just feels more "right."

That being said, the combination of damage and close races while online in Forza creates a really intense and enjoyable simulation of being involved in a real race, even if the physics aren't quite as hardcore. The lack of any sort of license test type feature is also a big con in my book, since I found those tests to be very enjoyable in the GT series.

I'd say overall, I'd be happier spending my money on GT since I don't need to be online to enjoy it fully. Forza's incredibly addictive online mode almost gives it the edge, but I think in the end I'd have to choose GT.

I think that I've got to go pick Forza up. Then I won't have to wonder what you all are raving about.

Not sure how old you are, but make sure you have a credit card so you can activate your two free months of Live (comes with Forza) - the online mode is absolutely amazing and you're really missing out on a big part of the game without it.

Careful with activating that Live account - you may never play offline mode again! :D

What would be great is being able to use the accumulated 2 Months Free XBOX LIVE offers that I have laying around. I must have a whole years worth of those thiongs. Besides, being that I work from home and am doing very little work right now I could really get into some trouble with online access. I'm not sure I'd ever leave the game room.

Another good game is Enthusia. It's a very good game in it's own right, but compared to GT4 it comes up a little short.

I can't really put my finger on it, but somehow Forza seems more fun than GT4. I think it maybe because the game difficulty seems to increase by the computer drivers getting more and more aggressive. While in GT4 the difficulty is just longer and longer races. Too long, to the point where it's kind of boring.

Any other opinions on GT4 vs. Forza?

Just saw the commercial today. Pretty decent. Love this game especially with the Speedster Wheel. Go to the middle of the page, Forza Tv Spot...
