For those of you who own both games, which do you like better?
It’s a toss up for me. Right now I’m really enjoying Forza, but GT4 is still great. I’m just a little bored with GT4.
Points for GT4:
- More cars
- More tracks
- Greater game depth
- The sheer artistry of the graphics and the game itself
- Photo Mode (I really like this)
- Off Road Rally & Ice Race events
- Driving Force Pro Steering Wheel
- RX-8 Le Mans Race car
- RX-7 RE Amemiya Race car
- Mazda 787B LM Race car (Sadly missing from Forza)
Points for Forza:
- Exterior customization of the cars (I really like this)
- Real tuner body kits
- Races seem more challenging and exciting
- Computer opponent’s AI seems more brutal
- 2 player mode is way better than GT4
- On-line play (must be really fun, but I don’t have Xbox live :( )
- Real Porsche (not RUF fakes) and Ferrari makes
- Load your own soundtracks
- Car damage
- While not as artistic as GT4 in looks, the graphics are smoother/cleaner.
- Mazdaspeed RX-8
- 20B TT rotary engine swap
Being a creative kind of guy, I really like the Photo Mode in GT4 and the ability to change your car’s looks in Forza. With the shapes provided, you can create just about any kind of vinyl scheme for you car. (It’s a real pain creating text, but still very doable.)
I rate these games just about dead even for me. But I think I’d give the nod to Forza by a very slim margin. I may feel differently six months from now.
