I'm looking towards the Seibon KS-style hood. But I wanted to ask some practical quesitons concerning any aftermarket hood with vents.

Car washing and rain/water in general - Not at all good for a hood with additional holes in it?
Seasonal weather and snowy winters terrible for ventilated hoods (as in, keep the stock one too)?

yea, i live in AZ and this morning at 7 am, i could see the heat rising from around the sides of my hood. i think to myself....... man a vented hood would rule. i bet it could keep the temps in the engine bay down 100 degrees if i had one. this will at least translate into longer engine life, especially here in arizona.. anyhow, i wondered about that too. also im not crazy about the idea of having a carbon fiber hood, red and carbon just dont go that well together.

Indiana soon to be D.C. area. So nice, hot summers with snowy winters, which is why I'm wondering about precipitation. Granted, I could do seasonal hood swaps, but at least for another 8 months it'll be stored outside only.

You should not have any serious problems with a vented hood
