Is it possible to polish/buff/make like new the headlight lenses? My car now has about 18k of road use and I have noticed a bit of hazing and very minor pitting. Suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have seen various plastic polishes on the market. Most are designed to work on Lexan, etc. I suspect the covers of our headlights are Lexan, or similar.

There is a Mazda secret repair doc that did not make it to TSB status for this issue. Lots of members have had their headlights replaced. The film is on the inside. I have it also, but just have not forced the issue yet. Go to your dealer and complain, and see what they tell you.

Great stuff and it smells good.

but it might not be able to help on the pitting.

He should have had it clear armoured from day one.

You really cant do anything about the pitting....

I say clean well and often first and foremost. I use a product called Plexus on my clear bra and on front and rear lenses (also the side view mirrors). It comes in an aerosol can and it is awesome. Spray on and polish and that is it. It is great to condition plastics inside and out and does not leave any residue.

Not sure if it helps anything but I put Zaino on them when I am polishing my car, the same as I put it on the windows as well. Shines them up just like the rest of the car.
