Actually, I saw them on the TattooYou tour at Folsom Field in Boluder, CO. in ah...1981 or 82... something like that. Good show, from what I remember.

as much as i like their music i have never felt the need to go to one of their shows. perhaps the altimont fiasco has something to do with that.

Yes! They are coming to Houston. I will definitely go. I've always wanted to see them, and this may be my last chance.

Remember that these guys were young and hot in the early 1960's. Now they're IN their sixties. I just have a hard time visualizing them as rock stars when they should be grandpas.

Funny - back then, the best looking guys in the band were Brian Jones and Keith Richards, and Charlie Watts looked like he was dead. Now Brian is dead and Keith is pickled, and the classiest and best-looking of the bunch is Charlie Watts!

Time is on WHO'S side?

Never thought he was classy, good-looking, and his dancing is just okay. As a front man for the band collectively, he's good.

I was an early Stones fan, and sort of lost interest after "Some Girls". They had a couple of good songs after that, but nothing to spur me to buy their albums or see them in concert. I feel fortunate to have seen them live as a kid. I still get choked up when I hear "Wild Horses" or "Angie", and want to dance when I hear "Shattered" or "Round and Round".

Doc, maybe you should sign on as the tour's ER physician. These guys are old enough to collapse or even drop dead on stage from overexertion, and I'm sure some of the groupies will overdo it at their concerts. :p (Actually, they really COULD have used an ER doctor at Altamont . . . . . :o )

Way back 30 summers ago, when I was young, in shape and got to carry a huge metal flashlight suitable for letting people know who was boss, I worked as an usher at the "Fabulous" Forum in Inglewood and saw the Stones perform five times in rapid succession there. My ears have never been the same. It was their first tour with Ron Wood on guitar (after they let Mick Taylor go), and highly memorable. I've seen them only once since, but maybe this is the time to see them again.

I've always wanted to see them, and this may be my last chance. That's what I said in 1972, Doc. Though this time you may be right. (I also remember thinking that they were a little past their prime then.)

Drive stakes through their hearts, cut their heads off, and fill their mouths with garlic (making sure to bury the heads separately) - it's the only way to ensure that they don't return.

I saw KISS a couple of years back in Houston on their "farewell tour."

Sure enough, they came back again a few months later (caught that show too).

It's OK, the shows were still awesome, even though those guys are old too.

Saw them a few years back in Orlando. I didn't know what to expect because of their age, but they were really good.

Of their newer records, post "Tattoo You", I think "Voodoo Lounge" was the best. Very much like the Stones from the early years with lots of Blues infusion and no experimentation with other genres of music.
