I'm glad to hear he'll be fine. Hopefully he won't have to return.

Having been wounded myself many moons ago in a different war I understand what's going on. The papers don't get the story straight or accurate. Those injuries sound like he has lots of metal pieces in him and so its going to take awhile to heal. Perhaps his wounds will be better treated in Germany or the US. Most of what we hear in the news don't make it home from these stupid road side bombs. Seems to be an ever increasing problem there. I just hope the military medical system here treats him well. I just prayed for him and trust he will be ok in awhile. Keep us posted.

I think about those guys and gals all the time...

Is this what you were looking for?

I can sympathize and understand the thoughts. I myself as a contractor and seen 18 monthes of it over there can only thank the men and women in uniform for all they did for me personally in letting me come home in one piece.... I owe my life to them.

I am sorry to hear your friend was injured but I am glad that he is doing good. I have a nephew there and I worry about him all the time. The first time the prison was bombed we did not hear from him right away. Not knowing if they are ok or not is enough to drive you crazy. He will be home for two weeks around the 17th. Can't wait to see him.
