im thinking to subscribing to car and driver magazine, my mom says that they will make extra payments and stuff like that and they rip u off, is that true? does anyone have a subscripstion to car and driver magazine?

Just have her send them a check for the $12.95 or whatever it is. I'm not sure why she'd think they'd make you make extra payments- they're just like any other magazine. You're no more likely to get ripped off by them than any other. Maybe she just doesn't think you need it, and is making excuses?

I've been a subscriber for over 15 years. The only game we ever play is that when it is time to renew, they send renewal offers for about $21 per year. I keep ignoring them until I get one for $12.95! This past year they never sent the '12.95 offer', but someone called me and offered a 3-year subscription for about $30 bucks. I decided to go for that and save the yearly hassle.

Honestly, C&D isn't that great as far as car mags go anyway. Why don't you check out Top Gear, EVO, or CAR?

I have been subscribing to C&D for a few years now and have had not problems with anyone trying to rip me off. So I say go for it.:)

what you have here pimp is a language barrier. you said "i'd like to get a c and d subscription and she thought you said a "cd" subscription for music like your brother's. she most likely just didn't understand that you meant a magazine and not one of those "100 cd's for a penny" music things.
