Has anyone ran the greddy kits at the track yet? Come on now there out and nobody has ran yet. BLA! you guys suck!! lol j/p But seriously am i going to be the only and first one to get a track time and videos up on this damn forum lol. Well when my kit is finished being installed i will do the honors of being the first to break 13's then. :D

I can't believe no one has gone to the track yet. Once I get myne you can bet as soon as I get done breaking it in ~week I'm thinking, I'll definitly be at the track to see what my $3k got me!

I dont think anything short of a crusher will do my A/T any good. I could be wrong though

I doubt somebody would need a Turbo on their RX8 to run faster than 14.0.

They just need slicks, and a couple spare axles.



Maybe a clutch....who knows...

 

ahahh thats real relaible lol rofl. I doubt slicks will break 13's tho, maybe 14.1-14.0 but won't see 13's. now with 300 to the wheels and slicks, Then were see whats happening.

 

If you're running the GReddy kit you might be the first GReddy owner to run 13s, but you won't be the first period. And you certainly wouldn't hold the title for very long if you were. There are a number of better kits coming out that will give significantly higher gains and there's that one guy in Puerto Rico running 19psi (I believe) on some custom set-up.

 

I've seen FWD'ers with 160-170hp break DEEP into the 13s...I've seen 200hp FWDs run 12s.

(shrug).

It's all about how motivated the driver is - and how well then can stick the 60ft time. If you can see 14.0, what makes you believe 13.9 isn't possible? that just doesn't make sense to me.

 

I really do doubt that. I have been drag racing for some time now. I think when i say im going to be the fastest and stay fastest i will. :D There might be other kits coming out but they wont match to the power my 8 is going to put out and times it will lay out. . But i can't talk intil times are layed and numbers are displayed. :D lol. But on a serious note 300 WHP should put me at 12.8 1/4. I ran a 13.3 with only 250 WHP in my FWD SRT-4. Just a hint i wont be using the same turbo the greddy kit comes with.

 

You right it is all about how you drive it and your 60 foot. But i have never seen a 200hp FWD hit 12's lol ROFL sorry man, how much did it weight? 1000 lbs?

 

 

 

There's already an RX-8 running with a dynoed 393rwhp and it'll only get much faster from there. So you're behind the curve to start with. No tested 1/4-mile times on that one yet though. Not saying you can't, but good luck catching up. I think that guy's been without his car for a year and has many many thousands of work and custom, unique work done to it.

And what's the point of wondering what times GReddy owners are getting if you're not even going to use their turbo?

 

Thanks for the info, i will use the stock greddy turbo and max that out and get 1/4 times. Then the bigger turbo gets thrown here. (GT30R)

 

Don't forget the Acosta 20b. Technically it's still an RX-8 but I don't know if it was ever run on the drag strip.

yeah im not really talking about dyno queens lol. I hate it when people dyno outrages numbers and never put them to use. Thats just a dyno queen nothing more. Tell he runs it at the track he is not a factor. lol But his car is bad *** !! you see his turbo! GODDAM!
