Hey Folks. I have an IceLink Plus hooked into my stereo, and when I turn of the stereo the Nav screen displays a page of Japanese text. I've seen some other threads about this, and apparently it is normal behavior. (But a pretty crappy design if you ask me.)
Anyhoo, has anyone found a way to change this behavior? It kind of a pain when your driving along, trying to navigate to some location, and you turn off the stereo (in order to hear the Navigator voice), and then the navigation screen is replaced with Japanese text.
Thanks in adance for any suggestions you may have.

That blue screen is the TV tuner available in Japan. It pops up when you are listing to you ipod, using the navigation, and press the power button on the HU. I don't know how to disable it. Doesn't bother me.

You install an aftermarket product to an OEM radio and complain about the radio disign?

Hit the disc change button again. It should bring up the nav screen again.

Hmm, fair enough. I guess I can't really blame Mazda for this one.

this is easy...turn down the volume :D or turn up the volume for the NAV (go into the settings)
what is happening is you are actually activating a menu system for the tv tuner/backup cam that Mazda offers in japan...they don't sell those goodies here...to many lawsuits (well backup cam will eventually happen)
