View Full Version : new transmission, anything i should know veilsidev1 05-02-2005, 10:59 PM what up guys, I had been having some problems with my tranny and clutch, I took it to the dealer and they gave me a new transmission and clutch under warranty. Is there any special care i should take, does the tranny need to be broken in, should i not redline. Im very ignorant in this subject, thanks alot for any info Indy_8 05-02-2005, 11:17 PM I'd recommend synthetic lube for tranny (and diff), if you haven't already done so. Redline MT-90 makes noticeable difference for shifting. brillo 05-03-2005, 08:15 AM I agree, go with some royal purple or redline after you get about 1500mi on the tranny to break it in. Also avoid power shifting (read speed shifting) while you let it break in.
