I didn't know you lived in Kuwait, that's interesting Feras. Do you have family there?
Those storms are definitely neat looking though I think I'd much prefer being inside until it was finished, the pictures are good enough for me. :p

RWagz 04-30-2005, 12:47 AM I'm in Kuwait. Been here 4 months. 8 to go. Then I get to buy an 8.
The sand is everywhere. You shower...and it's still on you, because you have to walk back to your tent...thru the sand.
We haven't had full blown sand storms yet this year, but we've had some decent "dust-ups," or so I call them - in the morning you can start to see the smudgy look of far off terrain and you know it's going to be windy and sandy by 10am. Oddly enough, we usually got them the day after it rained.
It's been steadily getting hotter, with many days over 100 deg F, and our current record is 107 deg F. The worst days were only around 95-100 degrees though - the bad part about Kuwait is you're right on the Persian Gulf, which means HUMIDITY. The really hot days were actually dry, and not that bad, but that humidity just kills you.
I'll see if I can rustle up some good pix to post...
juikster 05-02-2005, 10:52 PM I was in the same shit over there but had no camera at the time, great photos ;)
