Ahoy NJ!
Just talked to my dealer and went over the options I wanted...
He said the boat has arrived at Port in NJ (the system is updated and vins now show 'In Port')
He said basically what ifubar and everyone else has been saying:
while it isn't exactly official, there is going to be a nationwide rx-8 release in the second week of July (whether that means week July 7 or week July 14 we couldn't determine, yet 14 sounds more likely) That way one person doesn't complain about ordering Jan 8 (like me!) and then raging cause my buddy in CA got his car 2 weeks before me.
... not really looking forward to hearing how much the dealer options are going to hurt the wallet.
