I really got screwed on the financing rate on my 8, since my score was below a 700 they gave me a whopping 6% for 60months, which isn't all that bad but i'd like for it to be in the 5's...

Any help would be greatly appreciated....

check local credit unions( not a bank credit unions are non-profit ) they ALWAYS have the best rates outside of specail dealer financing.

Capital Auto? They gave me a decent rate of 5.5% on a new 8.

5/3rd quoted me 4.9%. I ended up going with Harris bank at 4.65%. Or take a look at http://www.bankrate.com

Remember that will be a refinancing rate, i.e. used car rate. Also if you got the 4,000 mazda rebate you need to make at least 3 payments or face them coming after you for the cash. Our credit was really strong and we only got a 5.75, but when you factor in the 4k in cashback for financing with them, it was a slam dunk. I am paying a little more each month and will have it paid off in a little over 4 years as opposed to the 60 months that we financed.

According to the few banks that I have spoken to so far, as long as i refinance within the first 30 days of purchasing it's still qualified as a new car...

yeah, but if you took the 4k from mazda for financing with them, you probably have to wait 3 months

Was it a $4K rebate or $4K cash back? Mazda started offering $4K cash in April.

I took all the rebates, the car came out to $24,259 + taxes out the door...
