Or worse yet, a world without a COD.

Horrors!

Well, the reality is we are already in a world with a vast vast majority of borderline incompetent doctors who need to take courses on ethics, language, and the mass population at a buddhist temple.

Anyone who disagrees has no idea of reality.

I shudder at the thought.

I thought you believe in the power of prayer.

The question is would you rather have prayer or a ton of incompetent doctors?

I saw a show on chernobyl...how a team from the US goes out to fix hearts on children..something about the fallout causes it.

That has got to be a great feeling.

My oral surgeon..(who is smoking hot, but no longer single) goes to africa once a year and fixes cleft palates...that has to be a high also.

but why do doc's have to invent really big tubes to stick in all your orifaces? I have to get a ass scan next year...I saw the tube

A world without a DOC?
There's always a bright side. This would be a way to solve the social security problem. If there weren't any doctors people would die at an earlier age and therefore not collect social security.

You are more out of touch with reality than anybody I have ever interacted with outside a psych ward, and half of them are more "normal" than you. Do you actually talk with other people, or just your "mentors" (keepers)?

I'm a realist.....sometimes praying is all that you can do. One thing is for certain....it NEVER hurts.

To answer some other concerns:

About the needles...some of the medications are so thick and syrupy that they could not be administered through a tiny needle. Penicillin and Valium are two examples or thick medicines requiring big needles. When you donate blood, it has to be through a huge needle so that the blood cells don't break apart as they pass through the needle. Other medications can be given through a tiny needle, but the medicine burns really bad as it goes in (lidocaine) so it doesn't matter how tiny the needle is, it still hurts.

I keep my stethoscope around my neck so it is always warm.

The trick to rectal exams is to go slowly and sneak in from the side/corner, not straight in like a Kancho attack. Your average citizen doesn't wipe his ass well enough for lube to be required, but we use it anyway.

You may not need to get the colonoscopy hose shoved up your ass if you can find a gastroenterologist who will give you the camera pill to swallow. It takes a picture every couple of minutes from the inside of your gut, so putting all the frames together it is like a movie. The colonoscopy is probably more sensitive for picking up small lesions early, however. Plus most cancers are in the colon, specifically the last 4 feet of your 50 foot bowel.

Thanks, Doc. I was just kidding about the needles of course, but it's good to see why they have to use big ones for certain purposes. They sure are big and scary, though.

I have only had the semi colon thing where you stay awake during the exam but at my age I think the next one will be the colonoscopy where they put you out for awhile. I don't have a family history of colon cancer but that does not mean I don't have to have a full colonoscopy. Working in a hospital medical lab for five years where many doctors ordered certain blood tests in an emergency I came to conclude that women appeared to be better to communicate and talk with although many males did as well. Must be because I like women I guess. But I then assume women make better doctors. Of course in my situation this was a VA hospital and most of the doctors were interns just getting the experience. I would sometimes get a little hurt when I busted to get a blood analysis done and the doctor shows up the next day looking for the "emergency" results. Sometimes the patient had already died. I see that each case was different now and sometimes the doctor did not have time to come to the lab. This was at a time when computers were just getting started and today results are posted for a patient and the doctor just looks it up.

Yeah...they have to check for lesions Possible side effect of my treatments.

I will just relax, and pretend it is Dmp.

You know, ever since my treatments I have a new definition of what a large needle is!

oh yeah, I figure this will not get old for another few posts
